Discussion Networks are virtual roundtables for learning and connecting. People who join-in share an interest or identity and come online to talk about common issues.
Each Discussion Network is run by people working in or with tangata whenua, community and voluntary organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Why join or start a Discussion Network?
- Join or start a Discussion Network to keep in touch, share ideas and talk about issues with people doing a similar job to you or with a common interest.
- Offer peer support and gauge opinions on any topical issues or any theme of common interest.
- View your Discussion Network online anywhere, anytime.
What you can do
- Create and comment on topics of discussion relevant to your work or interests.
- Store and share files securely using our upload feature, including reports, images and multi-media files.
- Create, edit and comment on documents online together e.g. minutes, plans, agendas, submissions etc.
- Quickly invite new people to join.
- Set up personal email notifications to stay up-to-date with changes in all networks you belong to.
- Send us your ideas for new features - we are responsive to your suggestions.
Discussion Network membership
- Anyone can become a member of CommunityCentral. It is free to join for individuals.
- Each Discussion Network is set up to either allow any CommunityCentral member to automatically join, or you must first request membership. Membership rules are decided by the members of each Discussion network.
- You can invite as many members as you like.
- To get things started you need at least one organiser. Once underway you can have as many organisers as you need to keep the discussion flowing.
What makes us different?
- CommunityCentral's aim is to build and strengthen the community, be community-owned and driven and be New Zealand-based.
- All data will be stored on New Zealand servers.
- Groups participating in CommunityCentral will own their own content - it is not owned by CommunityCentral.
